Meet Dr. Kristen Cummings

“My profession means being able to make an impact on kids’ lives, not just through their oral health now, but also by fostering positive feelings about visiting the dentist well into the future. Each child is so special, and I love seeing them grow up into healthy young adults with beautiful, healthy smiles!” – Dr. Kristen

Dr. Kristen Cummings was born and raised in a suburb of Chicago, Illinois. She attended the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. She then attended Southern Illinois University School of Dental Medicine where she received her Doctorate in Dental Medicine, cum laude.

Because of her desire to specialize in pediatric dentistry, Dr. Kristen furthered her education by completing a two-year residency program at the Children’s Hospital in Denver, Colorado where she earned a Certificate of Specialization in Pediatric Dentistry. Dr. Kristen also chose to take part in a two-part examination, testing and validating her advanced training in pediatric dentistry. She completed these certifying exams, became a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry, and is now a proud member of the ABPD College of Diplomates.

In her spare time, Dr. Kristen enjoys traveling, staying active with her family, and playing tennis.
